The Advantages of Our Copper Bushings:
-
Exceptional Precision & Consistency: Our multi-stage deep drawing process and precision tooling guarantee tight dimensional control (tolerances as low as ±0.01mm) and excellent concentricity, ensuring a perfect fit in your assembly.
-
Superior Electrical & Thermal Conductivity: We use high-purity copper alloys (C1100, C1020) to manufacture bushings that offer minimal electrical resistance and efficient heat dissipation, which is critical for electrical and high-performance mechanical applications.
-
Burr-Free, High-Luster Finish: Advanced deep drawing techniques combined with mechanical polishing or electropolishing produce a smooth, mirror-like surface that is free of scratches, pits, and burrs. This reduces friction and wear while enhancing corrosion resistance.
-
Optimized Material Strength & Formability: The deep drawing process work-hardens the copper, improving its strength while maintaining the excellent ductility required for complex shapes. We can supply bushings in various tempers (soft, half-hard, hard) to meet your mechanical requirements.
Production Process:
-
Material Selection & Blanking: Select high-purity copper coil or sheet based on conductivity and formability requirements. Precision blank into discs of calculated diameter.
-
Tooling Design & Die Preparation: Design and manufacture a series of precision progressive drawing dies, often including cupping, redrawing, and ironing stations, using CNC and EDM technology.
-
Multi-Stage Deep Drawing: The copper blank is progressively drawn through a series of dies using a hydraulic or mechanical press, gradually reducing its diameter and increasing its height to form the sleeve shape without cracking or wrinkling.
-
Trimming & Sizing: The drawn cup is trimmed to the exact length, and a final sizing or ironing operation may be performed to achieve the precise inner diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), and wall thickness.
-
Annealing & Heat Treatment: Performed between drawing stages or as a final step to relieve internal stresses, restore ductility, or achieve a specific temper (soft, half-hard, etc.).
-
Polishing & Surface Finishing: The bushings undergo mechanical polishing, buffing, or electropolishing to achieve the specified surface finish (e.g., mirror polish). Anti-tarnish treatment is applied.
-
Quality Control and Inspection: 100% dimensional inspection with air gauges or CMM. Sample testing for material certification (conductivity, hardness) and visual inspection for surface defects.
-
Packaging and Shipping: Bushings are packed with anti-tarnish VCI paper or vacuum-sealed to prevent oxidation and shipped securely.
Our Factory:
We operate a fully integrated deep drawing and metal fabrication facility. Our plant is equipped with high-tonnage deep drawing presses, progressive transfer presses, and a complete tool & die workshop featuring CNC lathes, grinding machines, and Wire-EDM. For finishing, we have automated polishing lines and electropolishing stations. Our stringent quality control is supported by a metrology lab with CMMs, optical comparators, and surface profilometers. This vertical integration, combined with our expertise in non-ferrous metals, allows us to deliver precision deep drawn copper components that meet the most demanding specifications.
